Add UA MapMyRun Connected Shoe Data Field to the watch face for a Form Coaching eligible activity. Follow the instructions below to attach the data field to your watch:
-
Activity Settings (watches have unique ways to access activity settings. Generally it's by holding the middle left middle button when an activity is ready to record. Please head to https://support.garmin.com/ for specific instructions if that doesn't work) → Data Screens → Pick Screen → Custom Data → Pick Layout → Choose Field → ConnectIQ Fields (UA MapMyRun Foot Strike Angle)
-
-
Move your shoe around to activate chip and wait for haptic feedback on the pre-workout screen notifying you that shoe has been paired to watch.
Please note: The UA shoe footpod should not be connected natively to the Garmin Account and you should not have MapMyRun app connected to shoes either. Before beginning a workout on your Garmin device, please ensure you have force exited your MapMy app to disconnect your shoes from your phone.
If you see blinking dashes in the data field then it is currently searching for a nearby shoe. The watch should vibrate when it has connected to the shoes and the dash should be static.
