The newly designed Activity Feed includes a tab for the Community, where you can view and engage with public posts and workouts from other members of the MapMy community.
Who Can Use It?
At this time, the Community Feed is only available on our mobile apps (version 17.7.0 and later), it is not available on our website. Posts will only be displayed in the Community Feed if they meet the requirements of having at least 1 photo and/or notes that are at least 30 characters long.
How to Use It
To view the Community Feed on the mobile app, tap the "Feed" icon at the bottom left of the Start Workout screen (iOS), or navigate to the app menu and select "Activity Feed" (Android).
Information within the Feed is ordered sequentially by most recent activity to oldest activity, and cannot be rearranged or edited at this time. The Community Feed can be updated by swiping down from the top of your screen. Appearance of a post or workout on the Community Feed is dependent on the post's privacy settings. Only posts with a PUBLIC setting will be eligible to appear on the Community Feed. To learn more about Privacy Settings, check out our Help Center article here.
You should see three tabs at the top, like the picture below: Community, Friends, Me. The Community tab is where you'll be able to view public content from other members of the MapMy community.
Tap a workout post on the Feed to see detailed information, like splits and elevation, or root them on by liking the workout or leaving a comment.
- You can “Like” a workout or post by tapping the heart icon. When the heart icon turns red, it means you've 'liked' it. To unlike it, tap the heart again and it will return to grey.
- To leave a comment, tap the speech bubble icon to the right of the heart. A text box will appear where you can write a comment and tap "Post."
Only users with "Friends" and "Public" profile settings can like or leave a comment on posts in the Community Feed. Note that ALL comments on posts in the Community Feed are public and will be seen by all other members of the Community Feed, regardless of your privacy settings.
Community Moderation
To report a post, tap the three dots in the bottom right corner of the post, then tap again to report.
Comments can be deleted by both the owner of the comment AND the owner of the post. To do so, swipe from right to left on the comment (iOS), or long press on the comment (Android), and tap again to delete it.
If you are neither the owner of the post or the owner of the comment, you can report a comment. To do so, swipe from right to left on the comment (iOS), or long press on the comment (Android), and tap again to report it.
