Thanks for choosing MapMyFitness, MapMyRun, MapMyRide, or MapMyWalk! If you haven't registered, you can create an account by tapping "Join Now." If you have registered, tap "Log In" to enter your email and password.
The first time you open the app, you will be greeted with a request to allow the MapMy app to access your location. This needs to be enabled to track your workouts accurately.
Track Workout
The app's home is the "Start Workout" screen. You can return to this screen by tapping the stopwatch icon in the bottom menu.
To customize your workout settings, tap the gear icon to the right of the activity type. This will take you to the Workout Setup screen, which allows you to change the activity type, enable voice feedback, and more. If you don't see the activity type you want, tap "See All Activities" and tap "All" to search for it.
Once your workout settings are correct, tap the back button in the upper left corner to return to the Start Workout screen. Tap the "Start Workout" button to begin recording a workout.
Once you start recording, the app tracks your route and displays your workout statistics, including distance, duration, pace, calorie burn, heart rate (if connected), and additional customizable stats.
To pause your workout, tap the "Pause" button. Once paused, you can either resume or end your workout. To end your workout, hold down the "HOLD TO FINISH" Button. A workout cannot be resumed after it has been finished.
After finishing a workout, you can customize your workout post. You can choose which stats you'd like displayed, add a note or photo to your workout, and select your preferred privacy setting.
If you took photos during your workout, the first one you took will be featured on your workout post. You can change which photo is featured by tapping on any of the pictures displayed below it. You can also select a photo from your gallery. The featured photo is highlighted in green. Up to five photos may be added to your workout.
You can customize which stats are featured in your workout post by tapping "Select Stats." By default, three stats will be auto-filled; however, you can change these stats by tapping once on the stat you'd like to replace and then once on the stat below that you'd like to have featured.
Important note: if you do not have a photo associated with your workout, you cannot customize the stats featured on your workout post.
To sync your workout to our servers, tap the back arrow and tap "Save Workout" at the bottom of the screen.
Log a Workout
Logging a workout is recommended for indoor/stationary workouts that do not use GPS to measure distance or for workouts you have already completed.
To log a workout, tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the screen and select "Log a Workout." From the "Log Workout" screen, you can enter the workout date, activity type, route (if applicable), distance, duration, caloric burn, and more. Select your desired privacy setting and press "Save Workout" when finished.
Viewing Workouts
A list of your workouts can be viewed in-app or online anytime. To view from the app, tap the menu icon in the top left corner, then tap "Workouts."
Activity Feed
Your Activity Feed is where all content generated by you, your friends, and the community is shared. As long as the privacy setting is set to "Friends" or "Everyone," all workouts or posts created by your friends can be viewed here.
To view your and your friends' workouts and posts, tap the "Activity Feed" icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can toggle between Community, Friends, and Me views.
Challenges
To create and join fitness challenges, tap the trophy icon from the bottom menu. You will see the challenges you are participating in under "My Challenges." Friend Challenges are at the bottom of the screen. You can also view past challenges by tapping on "View History." To create a friend challenge, tap "Friend Challenges" and "Create Challenge."
App Settings
To change notification preferences and customize various in-app settings, including voice feedback, auto-pause, unit preferences, and more, tap the menu icon in the upper left corner and scroll down to select "Settings."
