Recommendations for Keeping MapMy Running in the Background
It is our recommendation when using our mobile app to disable all power saving modes, battery optimizations, and settings that automatically put apps to sleep. Mobile phones may attempt to reduce battery consumption when the screen is off. This include pausing apps that are running and pausing GPS hardware. These actions are known to negatively affect the quality of workout tracking. In order to obtain the highest quality workout tracking data, your mobile phone must be prevented from pausing or terminate the mobile app while workout tracking is in progress. While these settings may be the default settings for apps on your phone, workout tracking is a special case that many phone manufacturers do not properly consider. Please take a look at the tips below for selecting the best settings to maximize the apps performance. As this is not a comprehensive list of all Android devices, we would like to note that these settings may appear differently on your device.
