Change Time Zone or Display Units

You can change the units used by MapMy on our mobile app and on our website. To adjust your time zone, however, you must visit our website, www.mapmyfitness.com. Instructions for each are found below.

Mobile (Change Units Only)

iOS

To change the app's units (imperial vs metric), tap "More" (bottom right) > scroll down and tap "Settings" > tap "Unit" > select proper unit.

Android

To change the app's units (imperial vs metric), tap the menu (three lines upper left) > scroll down and tap "Settings" > tap "Units" > select proper unit.

Web (Time Zone and Units)

To change your units on the site, navigate to your Settings page. To do so, log in to www.mapmyfitness.com and hover over your avatar in the upper right corner. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu, then click "Display/Units" from the list on the left. You can switch between miles and kilometers, as well as adjust your time zone from this page. Be sure to click "Save" before navigating to another page. Note: it may take a few minutes for changes made on our website to be reflected in the app. To view your changes immediately, you can log out of the app and then log back in.

Please note: We are aware that there is an issue affecting our users in the east (i.e. Australia, Japan). At this time, we believe it is because our servers are located in US (central time zone); therefore, when workouts are uploaded, the time zone difference makes the workouts +1 day on our website. We're unsure of how quickly this issue will be fixed, but we do hope to have the problem taken care of soon. We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you and thank you for your patience while we troubleshoot and attempt to eliminate the problem.
