Course leader boards are a table where you can compare time and points earned on a "course" or portion of a workout that is identified as an area that other MapMyFitness users like to compete. The leader board can be sorted or filtered in various ways: Activities (Run, Cycling, Walking, etc.), by age, gender, time, points and others. By default, the leader board shows your single "best time" but it can also be used to show all your times by changing the "people" filter to "me".
Sprint King & Queen: A yearly award for the male and female who have accumulated the most overall points on any flat or non-climb qualifying course. There must be 3 participants of the same gender for the badge to be awarded.
KOM & QOM: A yearly award for the male and female who have accumulated the most overall points on any course that qualifies as a climb. There must be 3 participants of the same gender for the badge to be awarded.
Guru: A yearly award for the individual who has done a course the most times. Guru points can be earned by doing the course more than 3 times in a month and contributes to your overall point total. Guru points can be earned across multiple activity types on the same course, walk it, run it, ride it... it all counts.
Personal Record: Challenge yourself over and over to achieve your personal best.
Fastest Time: An annual award to the single fastest person (male or female) on the course.
Each Course has a "Base Points" value available each month and is determined by climb difficulty. Monthly points on each course are the sum of your time points (based on speed) and your guru points which are earned with repeat efforts.
- 10 points = Sprint and Cat 5 Climbs
- 15 points = Cat 4 Climbs
- 20 points = Cat 3 Climbs
- 30 points = Cat 2 Climbs
- 40 points = Cat 1 Climbs
- 50 points = HC Climbs
A course is first ranked by speed.
Assuming the Course has 10 points the person who is fastest first gets 10 points, the person ranked 2nd gets 9 points, 3rd fastest gets 8 points, etc.
Guru points are available once the course has been completed 3 or more times by any single person and are winner takes all. If someone does it one more time than you they get all the guru points. There is a maximum of 30 guru points per month, per course.
Points are FINAL and locked at the end of each month and are rolled up to yearly totals.
