24/7 will be removed from the MapMy apps in 2020. Don't worry! If you've been syncing steps to 24/7, you can continue to do so with the MyFitnessPal app.
Continue Tracking Your Steps
- Download the MyFitnessPal app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Login to MyFitnessPal with your MapMy account details. You can use the same email and password combination to access both apps. Don't remember your MapMy password? Submit your account email to request a new one here!
- Connect your step tracking device directly to MyFitnessPal. Open the MyFitnessPal app > tap More in the bottom right corner > choose Steps > connect your iPhone, Apple Watch, or external step tracker here.
- Once connected, future step data should begin to sync automatically, but past step data compiled prior to establishing the connection may not.
Why is this feature being removed?
This feature is limited within the MapMy apps and website and was not performing up to our standards. MyFitnessPal will provide additional options and more consistent insight into this particular kind of data. You can also sync your MapMy workouts to MyFitnessPal to view all of your data and calorie information in one location.
Can I export my past step and sleep data?
Past step and sleep data cannot be exported directly from the MapMy platform.
Will I still be able to see my past step and sleep data in my MapMy account even though 24/7 is going away?
Starting March __, 2020 previous step and sleep data will no longer be visible in the MapMy apps or website.
How do I contact MyFitnessPal for help with connecting my step tracker or viewing my data?
Will MapMy workouts still provide steps and step challenges?
Yes. Walking workouts recorded or logged directly within MapMy will continue to provide a step estimation. The steps from these workouts will continue to count towards step challenges.
