    Hey Richard, thanks for reaching out to us! Have you seen the "Terrain" checkbox on our Route Details page? This offers users the ability to view terrain maps for an area. Terrain view shows the 3D elevation of natural geographic features, such as mountains and canyons. Topographic contour lines are overlaid on the map to show elevation levels with altitude information displayed in gray numbers

    Check it out by clicking on the "Map" button in the lower-left, then clicking to select "Terrain." I've included a screenshot below for reference.

    Yes I agree 

    The Topos are a very good guide to the terrain.

    I lead up to 40 walks a year for seniors. Its very Important after I have mapped a walk  in Recce that I have a good grasp of the level of difficulty based on net gain.
