Importing workouts

Thanks for writing about this. Currently, the default activity type for all imported workouts is "Generic," as you described. You can edit the workouts individually to change the activity type so that they accurately reflect your workout.

I apologize for any confusion this may have caused and will forward your preference to have the ability to select Activity Type upon import to our development team for consideration.

For users who are having trouble locating the Import Workout tool, it can be found here:

    Hi @Olivia,

I'm not the original poster, but I'm having the same issue. I constantly import .tcx files from Strava and never does it populate correctly. Along with all imports coming in as "Generic" activities as mentioned in the original post, I've noticed that heart rate and calories do not import properly either.

I should also mention that I previously used Endomondo, another Under Armor product, and was importing both .gpx and .tcx from there and neither lined up perfectly. The.tcx format was preferred due to fewer modifications needed after the import over the .gpx, but it's still far from perfect.

I just wanted to echo this - the new import function is not at all intuitive, difficult to find, and I have to spend much longer uploading activities because I immediately have to go and manually change the activity from 'generic' to 'run' every time. I hate to complain but the previous system was great and it's frustrating to see it go!
