Don't remove Gear Tracker

Another request here to reinstate Gear Tracker on the website. The app version is not sufficient for at least two reasons:

    1. The website had a much larger and more updated database of shoe types. The app hasn't updated its list since Brooks sold the PureFlow 3's... they've been on the PureFlow 7 for years now, so the old database makes the app version seem ridiculous.

    2. If the app is really supposed to be the "home" of the Gear Tracker, why do we need the WEBSITE to change the shoes used on a run, or add them if we forgot before starting the run?

I agree with the many users who say that Strava seems increasingly to be the smarter choice.

It has been more than a month, since I first expressed my disappointment about the removal of the gear-tracker. Reading the comments from other unsers it is even more difficult to understand why this essential feature has been removed. The most frustrating aspect is that UA has not even found it necessary to comment if the complaints are being heard.

Can we please have a statement if we the users shall just be patient for a few more weeks and will then have the feature back  ... or is UA's decision final and everyone can make plans for the future.

If I don't read a comment from UA on this end of August I'll assume that the feature will not come back.

In case you didn't get the message yet, please add gear tracker back to the web version of your software.  I do not like the new layout and usability of the software, and now to find out that gear tracker is no longer available and easy to use on the website, I am looking for a different app to use for tracking my running.

I'm adding my voice to the chorus: please bring Gear Tracker back.  Ideally, without the outdated photos of old shoe models that never actually matched the shoes we were really using.

Here's what would be great: a simple Gear Tracker where we can type in the name of each of the shoes we're currently rotating.  And then being able to easily click on those shoes when we log our workout on the website.  Simple.

Do not assume everyone uses apps. I do not run with my phone, I log my workouts via the website. Please bring back the gear tracker. Makes no sense to remove a functionality unless your goal is to drive us away. Not everyone lives their lives on an app.

I need the gear tracker. Please restore. This is a primary reason I recommend this app to friends.

Also, it is annoying that the Gear Tracker was removed without notice. I searched for it. Very frustrating.

I would guess we will see this feature returned as part of a "premium" (aka MVP) feature.

Bring back the gear tracker! It was the most useful part of your website.

I completely agree about the value of Gear Tracker.  I have relied on it for getting the most out of each pair of running shoes and retiring them when their mileage indicates it's time.  Having experienced multiple stress fractures and other running injuries, I take seriously the expiration feedback on my shoes.  This is a real loss from the website, and a definite push toward Strava.

Ditto.  Using Gear Tracker is easier and more convenient for me on the website. Probably switching to Garmin Connect if it doesn't come back.
